Archipelago

altThis book’s tone is very stark and transports you to the islands that are very humid, unexpected and full of interesting characters all damaged in some way. We sense a great gap of a tragic nature has occurred but this only unfolds over the course of the book.

Aspects of the writing are very fluid ie the descriptions of the sea and the islands, however other sections are very choppy and appear off kilter and stunted. This book will pass the time of day yet will not keep you up at night wondering “what happens next?” There’s more about this modern journey in Fiction.
