A Gift to Remember

This delightful, light hearted story tells it all about life getting in the way just when you think you have it all sorted and are happy in your comfort zone.  This is chic-lit at its most heart-warming as Darcy sets out to untangle a truly fantastic muddle involving, life, love, living, and of course an intelligent dog who manages to break down so many of her emotional barriers, all adding to the complexities of the adventure she discovers she has landed into early one chilly Manhattan morning.

 

Darcy Archer, in her humble opinion has got it all: life just as she wants it. Her dream job as the manger of a small bookstore in Manhattan provides nearly all her wants in life, that of being in surrounded by her beloved books, a reasonable wage and friends.

She has some good friends, an Aunt who is always trying to see her settled, her trusty bicycle to ride to and from work, along with her all be it, small apartment, and considers life is good, really just as she likes it.

Taking a risk and riding to work on an icy Manhattan morning she crashes into a well dress man walking his dog and attempting to cross the crossing on a red light. Once the ambulance has taken the unconscious man to hospital Darcy discovers left behind the dog and a carry bag containing a very expensive present.

So begins a series of events which will shake up Darcy’s well planned life, when she tries to discover just who the man suffering from amnesia is, as so many things that appear to be something to do with him and his life just simply don’t add up.

Warm hearted Darcy finds she is embroiled in an adventure, which while not quite on the scale of her beloved Jane Eyre or the Bronte Sisters books, comes in a close second as she discovers a side to life in Manhattan she had only ever read about.
