I must confess I did not review this book it was reviewed by an 8 year old friend of mine who said it was really great but he rather though it was good for 5 year olds. Mind you he is a bit precocious at times!

But from an adult point of view I think it is really rather great. Filled with puzzles, stories, word hunts, comic book stories, poems and limericks which all lovers of Grug will enjoy, there is something for most every kid between the ages of 4 to at least 8 or 9 years old.

The pages are jammed packed with just about everything to entertain children and all in a very Grug style. It reminds me of the Girls and Boys Own Annual’s which used to become available around Christmas time in years gone by and were considered something very special to get at Christmas.

From the early reader to the child who is more advanced there are hours of fun activities inside the pages. You could say this was a Grug Annual and it will delight the hearts of any young reader who is lucky enough to get a copy under the Christmas tree this year.

Grug is a well-loved iconic Aussie Comic character who has been introducing children of all ages into the natural bush environment and is much loved by generations of Australian children.
