Lottie and her Great Uncle Bert live in the Great Library of the British Museum, a place she loves to live and a place that is filled with Books, things she considers as her best of best friends, as they are filled with knowledge and some really great adventures.

But when the dastardly Sir Trevelyan Taylor decides he would rather have the space they take up for his office, and sets about selling them, asking in a man who is an expert at valuing rare books to set a price, Lottie and Great Uncle Bert decided something needs to be done about this, and done quickly.

She and Great Uncle Bert know that somewhere in the library there is an ancient scroll from the library of Alexandria collect by King George and gifted to the British Museum along with most of the other ancient books.

This scroll could be the only way of saving the books so Lottie, Great Uncle Bert and Reg the cleaner, set out to see if they can find the scroll and save the library.

Throughout this great adventure there are clues and puzzles to help you try to find the missing scroll and help Lottie save the Great Library. There are a series of amazing tunnels they have to find, and work out with every clue, just where they should go to next. It is truly amazing where these tunnels lead them, but how and why does the London Underground become so important in the search for the scroll.

As with all Lottie Lipton adventures there is a very good reason, but can you help her work it out.

A great adventure read for those children just beginning to enjoy slightly more advanced ‘chapter books’ with the clues adding additional interest and giving good interaction with the story.
