Although the Album is titled Los Angeles Blues it is perhaps the furthest thing from blues in the traditional style of blues music.

Rather, it is an incredible mix of a vast range of musical disciplines melded together to create an album which ranges from thoughtful melancholy (perhaps blues-ish) to up tempo Latin American style beats which underlie each track.

Hurtado has a background which ranges from childhood spent in the Amazonian rain forest to the adult life of urban beat in Los Angeles and many places in between, which all reflect in his music.

Beats, pulses of rhythm, multicultural-ism and influences from groups such as the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and many others have all come together seamlessly in this latest release of simply Hurtado and his guitar.
