This is a SENSATIONAL BOOK and a must for parents with young children (some experiments need adult supervision), kids who are budding scientists as well as being very useful for primary classroom or relief teachers.

The book is organised into thirty-two chapters with a number of experiments related to each topic. There is a huge number of topics ranging from air, heat, water, food to more complex ones such as exploring outer space and rocketry. They are easy to find in the well laid out Contents Pages.

Each experiment has a user-friendly Step-by-Step guide, list of materials needed, and explanations of the scientific concepts, terms and methods. The use of every day materials is particularly gratifying, and the ones that may need to be bought, are inexpensive and readily available.

At the back of the book are a very comprehensive glossary and index. The layout of this book has obviously been carefully considered and each experiment is well supported by simple but excellent illustrations.

This is a very impressive book and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It would make an excellent gift for birthdays or Christmas.
