There are 52 meditations in this book: there are 52 beautiful stories in this book; there are 52 ways of reaching out and learning to relax in this book designed for children but as you read through the meditations, or if you prefer the relaxation techniques, you begin to realise there are 52 meditations in this book that are for every one of us to be able to use.

Marneta Viegas has created these in order to help children learn to relax, to cope with the stress of modern day life and expectation. Each story is designed with a specific end point: that of relaxation, happiness, joy, peace , confidence and acceptance.

The stories, based on the principle that children love to tell and listen to stories  are not long: just a few moments or depending on how you choose to use them, as long as is required to bring calmness to the child or group.

Each meditation has an affirmation at the end of the story which helps reinforce the message given in the meditation.    As you read through them you begin to realise it is not just the child that is relaxing and seeking affirmation it is also the adult leading the group.

As there are 52 it would seem obvious there is one per week, but they can also be used at random to deal with a particular situation or simply to use as a relaxation or calming aid for a group of children.

If you are a teacher of young children, or even older children, or a Mum trying to settle a restless brood in the evening, dip into The Magic Box and enjoy the end result.
