Jack Mercer – Who was he.

Jack Mercer was born in 1896 in Archdale, Victoria as John Christopher Levy. He spent his early days in Archdale and Ararat. He fought in the First World War in the Canadian branch of the Royal Flying Corps, surviving two crashes. After the War he worked in a variety of roles in Canada, USA and Latin America before his appointment as manager if British American By-Products in Australia in 1934.

His manuscript was discovered by his family stored in a box with several chapters missing. These were later found completing a story of a world long gone and adventures untold.

He died in 1976 after living a remarkable life to the fullest. Courtesy Transit Lounge
