I guess you used to call this style of craft work “kitch” but now you can get trendy and call it Granny Chic because for many of you, your Granny would have been a past master in the art of recycling! Yes folks! That’s what Granny Chic is all about, what used to be called making good. In other words making something trendy out of something perhaps not so trendy or simply no longer in “vogue” or use.

Tif and Rachael, alias Dottie Angel and Ted and Agnes, have turned the almost lost art of “Mend and Make good” into a craft form which can only result in totally unique “one of’s” for your home and your friends.

I suggest that once Granny Chic grabs you it could easily become an obsession as the art of fossicking for the bargains and turning them into something new is highly rewarding and does truly make you feel terrific.

Not only have you created new out of old (thereby reaching the epitome of the recycling objective)you have taken the almost lost art form of “nothing matches anyway but it looks good” into the modern home giving the home a much loved and welcoming feel.

Definitely cost effective this is an inspirational look at just a few of the many transformations that can take place with a little bit of initiative resulting in a totally unique look or object d’art.

Ever wanted the recipe for a tea cosy like Granma had, or be able to crochet a series of string bags from all that scrap wool someone or other gave you, (great use and good for the environment too) well look no further as they, along with dozens of other fantastic ideas are all nestled within in the covers just waiting to help you join the revolution that is rapidly becoming Granny Chic.

Both Tif and Rachael have also given you look into their homes so you can see and enjoy the warmth and the difference a little Granny Chic can make.
