The Shimmering Land is an apt title for this album composed for synthesiser which allows various shifts within the drift of the soundscape.

Composed to encourage disconnection to self when listening, Shimmering will certainly encourage this ability to step outside one’s self. Perhaps best used when  you are requiring entrance to a mediative state or before bedtime after a particularly stressful day.

The music will take you gently into a realm of relaxation allowing the mind to disconnect thereby entering a state of quiet or calmness.

Each piece has been constructed with a natural element as inspiration such as space, the ocean, watching the stars on a deep, dark night, the hushed mystique of a misty morning or simply walking in nature. All add layers or dimensions to the soundscape which, with careful listening, can be heard and enjoyed.

As Bowles enjoys the many layers of life and people in her everyday working life this is reflected in the carefully structured nature of her music as she blends the many layers together to encourage a journey into deep, inner peace.
