Ever dreamt of playing cricket for Australia?

This movie is about doing just that.

However, there’s no Michael Clarke, David Warner or Mitchell Johnson. Instead we have Theodore ‘Teddy’ Brown, Rick and Stavros.

Who are they you might ask? Well they play for a third-rate suburban cricket team, the Abbotsford Anglers who dare to dream big, well Teddy does anyway.

And this dream becomes a reality after Teddy convinces his boss, to don the baggy green for a cricket tour of India and perhaps meet cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar.

Upon arrival this team of 30-something misfits are anything but dedicated to the gentleman’s game.  There’s everything from goats invading pitches to a disastrous fallout from sampling the local food.

All is not lost though as Teddy manages to find love in the form of his boss’ daughter, Anjali. But this and the tour are soon in jeopardy as the team favours the local customs over winning games. Teddy starts to question mateship and his loyalty to the game and club.

Will the Abbotsford Anglers knuckle down in time to win the championship and will Teddy win the girl?

Stephen Curry is a standout as the hapless Teddy Brown, other notable performances include writer Brendan Cowell as Rick and ladies man Stavros played by Damon Gameau.

The Bollywood inspired finale is a cracker!

Special features include audio commentary with the cast and crew, Bound 4 India with Ted & Col, theatrical trailer and the original 52 minute documentary that inspired the movie.

Save Your Legs is great aussie flick that doesn’t neatly fit into one genre rather its a comedy, drama and musical.

This ones not just for cricket fans, its for anyone who likes a ripping yarn about the rising of the underdog.
