A Deadly Mission for the Resistance Girls returns us to London where the bombs are still falling, the end of the War looks far distant and there is treachery within the highest levels of Government. It is 1943.

Sargeant Alexandra (Lexi) Street has been working undercover as a maid to try and find the leak which gets her shot at, then sent to Hannington Hall, the base of the ATS Special Operations training Centre, for reassignment.

This time the assignment seems to be rather ordinary as fuel, kept in secret locations has been stolen, the jerry cans refilled with water. There has also been a surge in organised crime in the Southampton area which is causing concern. Special Operations want to know who, why and what is going on.

Lexi is sent to work at The Curlew, a small Pub in Holton Cross which has caught the eye of the Special Operatives team. One man, Francis Cooper is of interest. Jean another Special Operative is also working in the area.

What starts out to be a routine investigation soon becomes something far more complex and dangerous, which pushes Lexi to the very limits of her skills and threatens to break down the rock-solid barriers she has bult around her heart.

Not everything is as it first appears; Francis Cooper is not what she expects, the corruption is far more widespread than just the areas around Holton Cross, involves serious crime syndicates and has connections to the people Lexi fears the most from her past. As the danger mounts, she finds she must make a choice to ensure that the Mission is not compromised, and the traitors are taken out of the loop.
