When George Foss started College he fell in love with the girl of his dreams, sexy, intelligent, the all-round American girl, Liana. They just clicked.

She left for the break and died! Or did she?

George goes to her home town after unsuccessfully trying to come to terms with his grief, to meet her family and express his regrets. But when he gets there he discovers the girl of his dreams, the love of his life, is not the girl in the photo on the mantelpiece of her home.

So who is the girl of his dreams and if she is not dead, where is she.

His life takes a turn for the worse as the local sheriff fills him in on who they think she is and gives him a heads up on her past, disillusioning George and shattering his dreams, once and for all.

Over the following years he has created a very comfortable life as accountant and part time lover to his on again-off again girlfriend Irene, when he sees her again, sitting in the bar he and Irene often frequent. George is not sure if it is her, but is pretty sure. She eventually makes herself known as Liana, now known as Jane, telling George he is the only one that can help her right an wrong.

On this note of reminiscence George agrees to help her out for old times’ sake but by doing so plunges not only himself but, Irene and  everyone he is about to come into contact with in horrendous danger.

Murder would seem to be the order of the day but just who is involved and is what is happening really for real, and how did he get so very involved that he becomes the suspect?

Who is Liana or Jane and is she really the mind behind the evil that has come in to George’s life since he met her again.

So many questions with answers that just don’t seem plausible make up a thriller that reaches an explosive culmination, leaving still more questions!

A brilliant psychological thriller from first time novelist Peter Swanson which will keep you guessing and then some, until the final paragraph.
