T D Besslar’s first novel surprises and enthralls.

When I first picked up this book. I thought what can be exciting about banking, but I was pleasantly surprised to find I was very soon caught up in the excitement and thrill of the misadventures of banker Halsey Stuart as he tries to deal with the machinations of his crooked brother-in-law and the crooks that he deals with. The book is fast paced and tantalising as Halsey finds himself deeper and deeper in trouble, not of his own making.

 

This book is a great first attempt and I recommend it as a really good read.

 

Bessler uses his 48 yearsexperienceas a banker to make the background and scenarios of this book believable. It gives an interesting insight into the banking world, and the ways it could all go so wrong
