Buckle up and join funny men, Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon on a road trip with a difference.

When Steve is commissioned by the Observer to travel to the north of England to review six restaurants in six days he reluctantly calls on Rob to join him following his girlfriends cancellation at the last minute.

What follows is a hilarious and poignant road trip that sees the comedy duo encounter everything from single hotel rooms to fancy food with a difference.

Along the way we witness their bickering, competitive impersonations and rousing renditions of Wuthering Heights and The Winner Takes It All.

Keep an eye out for Ben Stiller who makes a cameo appearance.

One gets the feeling The Trip is largely improvised and this is perfectly highlighted in the extra, Costume Drama Rehearsal. Other extras include deleted scenes and the trailer.

But this is far more than just a simple road trip condensed into 107 minutes, it is also a journey of self discovery for Steve as he questions his bachelor lifestyle compared to Robs family life.

The Trip is more about the journey and less about the food.  It is a witty, entertaining road trip from comedy’s odd couple who learn about friendship and Michael Caine impersonations.

England’s magnificent scenery is likened to the “sort of places you’d shoot a Miss Marple” and serves as a beautiful backdrop for both comedians to showcase their skills.

There is also a complete six-part TV series available that is well worth a look.
