During times of deeply felt emotion music is the one place you can retreat to, simply to be in the moment, to relax and let the cares of the of the day slowly drift away.
Michelle Qureshi has created another stand out album Be In This World, which offers solace and relaxation by stepping through an invisible barrier, there to be gathered into the warmth of love and beauty captured with the simple elegance of graceful guitar.
Twelve songs come together to tell a story, each one inspired by a moment in time that resonated, commencing with Enigmatic Hearts a thoughtful and carefully delivered song of light and love, followed by Behind That Smile, an interestingly constructed song rich with changing sentiment.
Blue Daisies is a happy, cheerful change of pace which lightens the heart and lifts the feelings, bringing with it the vibrancy and vivid colours of nature there to be discovered on life’s journey.
Broody and intriguing Gathering Clouds is a piece that resonates as each one of us has to face the darker, stormy days; this intricate piece has been created by skilful use of percussion with a little fillip of synth to balance out the song. The deeper mood is then softened with the delightful For Another time.
Vista draws the journey to a close with a wide ranging introduction of sombre synth to create a panoramic effect of almost a dream state, where the mind flows free, the emotions drifting, the empathy of body mind and soul combining in gentle harmony.
Be In This World is Michelle Qureshi’s first release with Wayfarer Records and was created with the image of being a journeyman, a wayfarer, a traveller through life. Join her as she sweeps you away another world.
