Michelle Qureshi made the comment that she was not to sure where she was going on her music journey but she was following her heart, her instincts and her creative flair when she created Shimmer, her latest and most intriguing EP.

Her love of colour and contrast is reflected within the first of the gossamer songs, Stones that Shimmer, introduced with the crisp clear notes of the Sitar played by Shehzad Hussain.  Gentle guitar adds a delightfully intriguing depth to the song which leads into a lovely light-hearted dance of light and shade, glistening colours reflecting into passing moment of pure joy.

Moving into a somewhat reflective mood is the slower, more intimate pace of Sparkling Within This Night, which is deeper, couched in dreams and emotion. This song is one which teases this imagination, enticing with the sparkling beauty of the night tempting one to take a moment to simply dream.

Concluding with the dainty Walk At Dawn, Qureshi and Hussain work as one as they create the intimate moments to be found walking in the early hours of dawn: the beginning of a fresh new day, when all around is balanced in the perfection of Mother Earth.

Shimmer is a definitive change of vibration for Michelle Qureshi and one that would indicate that whatever pathway she is traveling it is most definitely the right one.
