As with many of Lorenzo Bracaloni’s compositions in the ambient electronic medium, a few lines or a small piece of poetry act as the inspiration for his creations. Whispered Hymns is no exception.
Commencing with a gentle piece, Unusual Springtime, featuring a repetitive gong of percussion the song drifts into a gentle mantra of sound, before moving into the slightly sharper more driven beat of Pond of Blurry Reveries; a reflective song with clear, crisp many layered combinations, which is somewhat enchanting.
My Whispered Hymn is the third track and far more sombre in delivery that the previous tracks; deeper, with an undelaying drone, the song drifts and encourages a deep sense of reverence.
Moving on through this gentle work you come to Slowly, Quietly another softly reflective song which in its gentle simplicity soothes the very soul, before Angry Forests picks up the tempo, reflective of the frustration caused by the devastation of the forests and trees of the world.
Final hymns are offered in Birds Are Leaving a melancholic song, layered with reverence to conclude an intimate, gentle and reflective journey of peaceful reflection and enjoyments.
Lorenzo Bracaloni aka Fallen delivers again with an intimate and reflective soundscape of genuine appeal which will refresh the soul as the songs are in their simple complexity, gentle, intimate Whispered Hymns to Mother Earth.
