For more than fifteen years Melli O’Brien has been an educator and coach in the field of mental health, having taught mindfulness and mental health skills to empower and create change. In those years, she has seen all the many aspects of mental distress, understanding the very fine line so many walk between total despair and tragedy on a daily basis.

Over those years she has created what can only be referred to a course steeped in love, to help people in despair understand and unlock the issues that are holding them back, holding them in destructive patterns and sets out in gentle steps the roadmap to living a healthy, happy, positive life.

Called the Deep Resilience Method it unpacks the complex entity the brain and looks at the issues that set the patterns that it so dearly loves to hold and how best to control the negative and introduce the positive mindset that is buried deep within everyone.

Melli O’Brien points out that as with all things, there will be painful times as you begin to unpack your life. There will be a great need for personal honesty and a desire to make the change from disempowered to empowered.  She decided to write Deep Resilience in order share the knowledge she has gained to a wider audience.

Set out in sections she works with and talks through the many steps and issues that will be reached on the journey. She also explains the two tool kits FEAR and RISE as you discover that your mind is simply in need of re-programming and you are the one, the only one, to do it with your rediscovered Deep Resilience.

Having walked the pathway of mental distress as a young woman she was desperate to find help but failed to find anything that worked. Facing a choice of suicide or giving life a chance, she choose life. As an older woman she once again faced severe trauma having to draw on her own Deep Resilience to find her way through the darkest of days.

Deep Resilience will change your life for the better but is not a quick fix method; more like a slow and steady journey towards a better, brighter future coached by someone who has been there and faced the darkness; who understands the challenge of making real and lasting change in your life.

Highly recommended for anyone who is struggling to manage on a daily basis and is in need of a little bit of help along the way.
