Get ready to drool and wish you lived in this stunning cookbook! Leila Lindholm’s latest cookbook has finally been translated into English for us all to enjoy.

A little about Leila as per the back cover of her latest cookbook: Leila Lindholm grew up in the inner Stockholm archipelago. She knew, early on, that it was the art of cooking that she wanted to devote herself to. She started at a restaurant school and afterwards worked in several famous restaurants in Sweden and New York. Leila has also worked as a food stylist for ads and commercials and is the author of five cookbooks.

 

This books styling (credited to the author) and photography are absolutely gorgeous in beautiful pastel tones with a luxurious yesteryear feel. Even if you don’t bake, this book makes you hungry for cupcakes and whoopie pies. My husband was already to lick the spoon which appeared within the first few pages! How does any of the following sound: sticky pecan upside-down cupcakes, key lime pie cupcakes, lemon meringue whoopie pie, passionfruit meringue cupcakes, raspberry coconut pie cupcakes.

Each recipe is laid out clearly and in a nice step-by-step linear fashion;each recipe also has an accompanying photograph and tips to ensure you get a great baking result. Mixed in with wonderfull recipes are beautiful candid times with Lindholm and her family; places and events that suit cupcakes ie days at the beach, a fairy princess party, ongoing baking tips and a whole section dedicated to chocolate!  

This book has you groaning for all the right reasons and would make a beautiful gift for the baker in your life.
