Looking for a summer fling, no strings attached? Then this is the summer beach book for you. It is escapism at its best. I mean really who hasn’t thought they would love to escape to the Greek Isles; the weather, the food, the people, the lack of routine, a hint of romance….. mmmh can you feel the warm sun on your face and a lovely chilled rosẻ in hand?

This book by Lisa Heidke is that heady mix. The trip to Greece comes by way of her employer who needs documents hand delivered, signatures obtained and ownership of a few items transferred to a client.

Once complete Claudia and her friends can get on and enjoy the rest of their holiday. Sounds easy right? But a few items conspire to make this task a little harder then it ought to be. Claudia’s Big Break is also about three 30+ girlfriends that find themselves questioning where they are on their life’s journey. One single, one divorced, one married with a child; each views the other as successful.

There is an honesty and deep affection within the three main characters relationship, with their history dating back to high school days, which is very endearing as we are given glimpses of their history together and their various personalities. What does make this book slightly different is that it is told entirely from one person’s perspective. And that character is Claudia, unlucky in love, shopping queen, currently single who looks for the best in everybody and trusts a little too easily.

There is also romance on the horizon in various forms for all the ladies and let’s face it who isn’t looking for a happy ending with their summer fling?
