In this latest intriguing Armstong and Oscar Cozy Mystery from TA Williams, Murder in Bologna Dan and Oscar are pushed to the very limits of their investigative powers to discover who is behind the carefully staged but brutal murder of a young and talented Art Student, Luca Canova, at the prestigious Istituto delle Belle Arti.

As Dan and Oscar dig deeply into the life at the University, Dan discovers that the secondary mission he has been asked to undertake for his friend Virgilio Pisano, Commissario of the Florence Murder Squad, to watch out for a man who they suspect is involved in a variety of illegal activities, and the death of the young man appear to somehow be linked.

Making the decision to drive to Bologna he discovers that perhaps the local Police were right in saying the death of Luca was indeed suicide, not murder as his parents believe. But Dan senses there is far more to the story of a breakup with his long-time girlfriend than is at first apparent.

Deciding to take on the case he discovers the tentacles of crime, jealousy, hate and money, are woven together in such a way that anyone of several people could be responsible for Luca’s death.

Another attempt at murder is undertaken, a fire mysteriously breaks out in the dorm where Luca and his girlfriend lived and links to organised crime appear possibly very real. But who, if indeed anyone, is responsible is proving exceptionally hard to discover.

Murder in Bologna has been intriguingly woven once again by TA Williams and challenges the armchair detective to pick their way through a crime scene that is both intriguing, may not be murder at all, and could prove to be just another drug overdose caused by grief.
