Billed as a majestic page turner as well as intense, riotous and funny it is hard to see where this image comes from as it is more than intense, it is seriously dark!

Perhaps it if you enjoy a novel of the moment that, to use a phrase ‘is in your face’ shoving life at you from all angles, you will find something in the pages that resonates with you.

Startling definitely, as there are three differing stories running relating to making choices and the unexpected pathways they can lead to you following, which encompass cruelty, revelation, horror and as always hope.

Written in the modern vernacular, relating to ‘pop’ culture, life in its crudest format is presented for the reader to choose whether they can safely continue further into the pages of this heavy duty novel or simply close the pages and walk away.

Nordic social realism maybe, combined with Western pop culture, possibly or the product of a mind that enjoys exploring the dark side of life in all its loneliness; that will be your choice.

Not a novel for the faint hearted and not as billed on the back of the novel, this is unless you like this kind of story, alternative literature, don’t mind becoming involved in the ugly side of life, or simply enjoy an walk on the other side, then and only then, will you enjoy this look at where society is now.
