Gravelly, ballad, acoustic and intimate: just some of the many words which can be used to describe this debut album from Ryan Morrison, along with fantastic, mellow and delightful.

Taking the traditional area of love as his canvas, he weaves a tapestry of acoustic guitar, bass, piano, cello, violin and choral together seamlessly producing a unique sound, reminiscent of a young “Bob Dylan” in texture and style, and one of which I would love to hear more.

Lyrics are often overlooked in place of the sound blends but as you relax through the tracks of the album the words, as much as the music, woo you into an understanding of not just romantic love, but also a love of life, of living, a love of the world and a love of the elements all being serenaded, which all go towards making up our world.
