Do you like a challenge? Are you up for one all wrapped up in the covers of a single book?  If so grab a copy of The Bedside Book of Philosophy as it will expand your mind, addle your senses and encourage you to question and revisit your knowledge, beliefs and opinions. This is such an interesting book high, on research and yet incredibly fun. You can easily dip in and out of the various schools of thought be they: Ethics and Morality, Logic and Infinity or Epistemology to name a few.

It does delivery and is very easy to read bits and pieces as you desire. The writing is very accessible and whilst extremely knowledgeable and solidly researched doesn’t descent into full blown academia. I can’t help but think this will make a great gift for that hard to buy for person we all have in our life and then provide many and varied dinner conversations.

Filled with philosophical puzzles that have intrigued the greatest minds, quizzes that reveal the inconsistencies of our ideas, insoluble logical riddles, and moral dilemmas that force us to confront the consequences of our beliefs, this is one book that will have you returning to the pages time and time again, just to make sure.
