Noom’s mission is to help as many people as possible live healthier lives through behavioural change; it is not a diet. For many the Noom app has become a tool to help them master stress, anxiety, confidence and self-care, in addition to their health.

In order to support those who prefer to access information via the written word, the authors of “The Noom Mindset”, have converted this digital platform into text.  This book aims to complement the interactive and coach-supported Noom digital course.

Although for many readers, there is nothing ground- breaking in this book, it does provide helpful reminders of techniques for achieving set goals. It expands upon the science and psychology behind the concepts promoted in their app.

Of all the behavioural strategies, the authors consider mindfulness to be the most powerful. They recommend the readers develop a food philosophy which they explain is different from a diet.

This user friendly guide to the psychology behind unwanted weight gain, contains a comprehensive index and end notes for those readers, who want to undertake further investigation. It also includes quizzes, questions upon which to reflect, and perceptive advice.

The language is both motivational and easily understood; terms and concepts are clearly explained in the all-inclusive glossary.
