Reading The Place is a little like stepping into the unrealistic, although the more you read the further into the belief that perhaps this is reality, perhaps it could be there, maybe  is there and perhaps, within this schism of time, this  is all the reality that is needed.  Almost hypnotic, this well-crafted construction slowly induces you to step into the life of Jake Rayne, modern man struggling to cope with shattering lifestyle changes.

Stepping through the “looking glass” is his way of being able to rationalise all that has happened and in his fantasy, nirvana is really a reality. Or is it? – you choose!
