“Lily-Rose May will not eat her peas. Even when her father hides them in her food, Lily can always tell they are there, and throws a terrible tantrum. Luckily, the doctor knows exactly what to do.

He diagnoses an incurable case of Princess-itus and sends Lily to live at the palace. Unfortunately for Lily Rose May, the perfect food for a princess is . . . well. That would be telling!”

And so commences author Caryl Hart’s fantastic fun tale about guess what? Peas, which is brought to bright and detailed life by Sarah Warburton. Pink and very girly first impressions gives a modern twist toa classic tale with wonderful energy and bold illustrations supporting the fun to read aloud rhyming text.

This has now been on high rotation as the preferred evening story which always elicits a giggle and a question or two from our 3 ½ year old.

Every time we read it this big person actually enjoys the escapade more and more… So fun for Mummy and kids.
