Jacob Striker, known as Shipwreck to his friends, and side kick, some times lover, as well as ace detective Felicity, are back in this page turning dive into the underworld of Vancouver, when Striker discovers a close friend of his has gone missing and the circumstances are anything but good.

The Adder is pulling the strings, jerking Striker about and always beating him to the women he selects to kill, all of whom a have deep psychological issues and are connected to the Riverglen Mental Health Facility.

Larisa Larsen, long-time friend of Strikers is also connected to the Riverglen Facility as well as a former member of the Car 84 psyche team connected to the Vancouver Police Department. This ups the stakes in the deadly game of snakes and ladders the Adder has developed, increasing the pressure on Striker and Felicity to find Larisa before the Adder does.

Using Larisa as a pawn the Adder lures Striker to a house where he has carefully prepared a trap which should get rid of Striker and Felicity once and for all and leave him to play his deadly game.

As the race against time hits the fast lane and the pressure is on, the Adder can feel himself starting to unravel, which increases the stakes.

Can Striker and Felicity end this deadly game masterminded by a cold, psychopathic killer or will they find themselves the final victims of a madman?
